Homestead

lyrics

Can't you feel this?
The sidewalks are gaining on us.
The soles of our feet are latched onto pavement.
For these reasons we can't move to greener pastures.
And the space we're living in is slowly killing me.

There has to be a silver lining to this bullshit, that I call my day to day.
Born to break and prone to plague.

Enveloped in exhaust this is freedom at a cost, there is not enough room here to stretch my legs.

What are the chances that anywhere else would be any different?

The city skyline is bearing down on me, its getting difficult to breathe.

The city streets open wide and swallow me whole.
I've got to find a way out. Thats why I've burned all bridges but one.
